With his camera swinging by his side, Mark strolled down the pathways through the city. It was unusually nice out for the winter and he only needed his lumberjack coat (the plaid thing) and his scarf. Sure, some people stared at the ugly jacket, but Mark loved it. He thought it was pretty cool and Monty Python-esque. Plus, Mark was always the little guy, in his coat he looked about forty pounds thicker and people didn't mess with him.
The occassional small child would blow a raspberry and sure, it sucked, but Mark could handle that before someone would harass him about his camera. Once some lady had tried to scream him out of the park because he had filmed her throwing dimes at a homeless guy. She was a jerk and it didn't help when she launched a small rock at the back of his head. Mark projected she had to be a player on the New York Yankees if she was going to throw like that, and if they wasn't - Tore was going to have to sign her soon.
Looking down at the camera in his hand, Mark sighed. He wasn't really getting new footage to use, but he had to find something. Maybe someone would do something interesting and he could film that, even a stupid stunt he could send to America's Funniest Home Videos would be great. After all, he could win some cash with that one. Although, he was no stranger to trading quality for some cash quantity, so that was probably the furtherest thing from his mind.
Plopping down on a huge (dry) rock, Mark leaned back and reeved up his camera. Looking around he didn't seem much of anything going on, so he turned the camera to himself, "Mark Cohen. Central Park. Time of Death - 4:45 PM" and he swiveled the camera around on the public of the park, waiting for the events to just present themselves to him.

The dancer walked through the grass, clad in a worn, sleeveless navy blue dress and black leggings. The tips of her beige Ugg-style boots now a darker shade due to the dampened grass. Her waist-length brown curls hang loose down her back, glittery blue barettes, or evillitas as Mimi likes to call them, shining in the sunlight.
Torn between covering Mark's eyes or tickling him to death, Mimi sauntered closer to him and posed in front of his camera instead. Her full lips parted in a huge grin, she placed one hand on her hip, letting the other arm dangle over her head. "Hey Marky!" she chirped, full of energy, mostly a product of her boredom. Still beaming, she pushed the camera out of the way and perched herself on Mark's lap, her thin arms wrapping around his neck for support.

One of the small unknown facts about Angel was that she enjoyed taking walks along the park. Depending on her mood, she might just be walking no where in particular. Or she might be walking as she concentrated hard on a problem at hand. Sometimes she drummed and she walked, and sometimes she dragged Collins with her and insisted that they have a nice walk together. And sometimes, like today, Angel liked to take walks just to get used to her shoes.
As she stared down at the beige heels on her feet, she had to admit, it had been a pretty good deal. She'd found them at a flea market the other day for seventy five cents, and when they actually fit her feet, who could say no? It wasn't as though she had millions of shoes anyway. More often than not, she'd be wearing her six inch black heels, since they went with everything, so this made a nice change.
Oh, they were such good looking shoes. She didn't want to take her eyes off them, but of course, she had to keep looking up just to be sure she didn't run right into someone. After another happy glance at her shoes, she looked up again, and thought she spotted a familiar lumberjack coat over on a rock. And then coming up beside him... yes, that was definitely Mimi. There was no way Angel couldn't recognize that girl. She changed direction and headed over to where Mimi and Mark were-- and there was no mistaking it was Mark now, because she was sure there was no one else in the city who had a jacket like that, and besides, the camera was a dead giveaway-- quickening her pace, though still being slightly cautious in her new shoes.
By the time Angel had reached them, Mimi had settled herself onto Mark's lap, and Angel gave a laugh. "Hey, hey, did I miss something here?" she asked, smirking at the two. Before they could answer, she'd changed tact again and waved her fingers at them. "Hi, guys!"

Benny walked along the paved pathway with two of his investors as they talked in low tones about some new renovations for a building. Although he was quite distracted at the moment because of things happening in the park. Benny had a pretty short attention span when it came to meetings like this. It was said that if you took a walk as you talked you were more relaxed but that wasn't always the case. Especially when you had other things on your mind.
Shoving his hands in his pockets as they stopped by a bench to sit down a gathering of people cought Benny's eye. He sat down for a few moments keeping a close eye on his watch. He looked up as it appeared that his ex-father-in-law had asked him a question. "Excuse me?" He said then put his hand up before he asked again. Standing up and looking at the two men on the bench he glanced down at his watch. "I think this meeting has gone on long enough. I'll see you both later. Keep thinking about how to go about doing those renovations."
With that he walked father along the pavement before turning into the grass sticking his hands in his pockets once again as he stopped a short way away from the grouping of people. "Hey," He said in a quiet tone nodding at them as he approached.

Mark made a noise that was somewhere between a squawk and a squeak as Mimi posed in front of the camera. He hadn't expected her to be in the park that day. Pursing his lips he let out a mock sigh and then grunted as she hopped into his lap, putting her thin arms around his neck. "You know, you could give me a little warning," Mark commented looking at her. At least she was looking well, Roger would like that. He freaked out when a hair was out of place, of course after everything that had happened, he was kind of understanding to it. He would have to tease him for acting like his mother. That would surely make the rocker tweaked. Mark couldn't wait.
Placing his hand on her hip for support, Mark held the camera in his other hand and laughed as Angel passed by. Well, wasn't the park just a place for everyone to meet up? Snorting softly, the blonde filmmaker grinned at her and her mention of missing something. Pretending to bury his face in Mimi's neck, Mark grinned at Angel. "Just the most torid love affair this century. God, get with the times Angel," he laughed, putting the camera down before squirming out from under Mimi. He wasn't really comfortable with having her on his lap. True, he wasn't like attracted to her or anything, but still - Maureen had left him a long time ago... he didn't want to take any chances.
Straightening out his coat, Mark grinned at them. "With two lovely specimens like yourselves, who needs weirdos to film?" he chuckled, picking up the camera to film them. He loved filming his friends, something he had for a long time after he didn't have them anymore. It was bittersweet, but hey - at least he'd have it. Turning around at the deep voice, Mark was shocked. Did someone send out a memo he was going to be at the park or something? And since when was Mark that popular? Swiveling the camera around, MArk pointed it at Benny's face, only able to get in his eye and part of his nose at such a close distance. "Say hello to the camera Benny Boy," Mark grinned, in a strangely good mood.

Hola Angel chica Mimi greeted, waving excitedly at her friend. She giggled at the feel of Mark's warm breath against her neck, and looked shocked as he abpruptly slid out from underneath her, causing her to land in the grass. What's wrong with him? Looking up, she squinted at the sunlight and smiled at Benny. Hey Benny. She sat propped up on one arm, one knee bent, the other leg stretched out in front of her. We should just go get everyone else and play hide and seek Mimi said, half-joking. Letting herself fall back, she laid on the grass, flat on her back. Her long brown hair is splayed around her head, tangled in the crisp grass.
Her eyes fixed on the sky, Mimi's face took on a concentrated look as she tried to make shapes out of the wispy clouds. The wind blew a swirl of leaves, passing over the girl, startling her when a leaf almost landed on her eye.

Angel mocked a dramatic gasp at Mark's response, crying, "Oh no! Whatever will we do with Roger?" before giving a smile and a wave at the camera. As she contemplated joining Mimi in the grass, Benny had now come over, and a usual lurch crossed her stomach. Okay. So the Evita thing was all over with now, it had been rewarding and funny, and apparently she'd done him a favor, but annoying as that dog was, Angel still felt guilty at using her talent to kill off a dog. And the fact that it had been Benny's dog always made the situation weirder. She always felt curious as to whether Benny had gotten a new dog. However, she'd always resisted asking this question, being that it might end up sounding like, 'Hey, did you get a new dog I can kill for money?'
"Hey there, Benny," she said, waving at him as well. "What brings you here?" Being around Benny had always been strange for Angel. Though the crowd had been warmer with him lately, she'd never known him well. So it was a pretty nice distraction when Mimi started talking about hide-and-seek. "Ooh, I love hide-and-seek!" she squealed, looking down at her friend. "Loft hide-and-seek is really fun, too."

Letting out a sigh as Mark turned his camera on him he nodded in greeting at it before turning his face slightly away. He wasn't the biggest fan of being filmed like he was sure Mimi, and Angel were. Sending one last lightly annoyed look at Mark's camera he turned his attention on the other two.
"My investors and I were talking about doing renovations on some of the buildings we owned." He explained in the shortest terms he could practicly waving the question away not really wanting to go into detail. He raised an eyebrow as they started talking of hide-and-seek. He'd never doubted the immaturaty of his friends but it did make a good sourse of entertainment. "Hide-and-seek..." he repeated dully, "And here I was thinking we were all out of Grammar School." He sent a small good natured smile over in Mimi's direction before shaking his head.

Furrowing her eyebrows at him, Mimi stuck her tongue out. Ha ha ha. Very funny. That's the problem Benny...you just don't know how to let loose and have a little fun she said, thinking her suggestion was perfectly reasonable. Sure, it was a child's game, but it would be fun to run around for a while, release their energy and be complete fools together.
You know what? We could play partner hide and seek! If the others would show up we can all do it Mimi's face lit up as she formulated her plan for a childish afternoon at the park. Her multiple colored bracelets rattled against one another as she held her hand out toward Angel, hoping her friend would help her up.

"Yeah!" Angel agreed quickly, spotting Mimi's outstretched hand and pulling her up to her feet. "That's such a good idea, Mimi. We all need something to do. And I think I've pretty much gotten adjusted to my shoes. You like?" She nodded down at her feet and then looked back up at Mimi, and then Benny.
"And Benny, Mimi has a point, you know. You're never too old to play a good game of hide-and-seek." She gave a small, hopeful little smile at him, and added, "I'm sure it's a lot more fun than talking about business." Come to think of it, she couldn't even recall watching Benny have any fun. Whenever she'd seen him, he'd always been very professional and a little uptight. He needed to let the grass stain his pants every once in a while.

Gripping Angel's wrist with both hands, Mimi pulled herself up and looked down to examine her boots. "They're gorgeous! Where'd you get 'em?"
She looked between Benny and Angel as the drag queen spoke. "Gracias chica" she said then shot Benny a playful glare and added "At least someone likes my idea". Wrapping her arms tightly around Angel's torso, Mimi hugged her, letting her head rest on her chest. "I think we're going to have to go find Roger, Maureen, Joanne and your man." She pulled away and shook her hair off her shoulders.

Shrugging his shoulders, Benny looked from Mimi to Angel. "There are other ways to have fun other then playing hide-and-seek." He said slowly as he realized it was useless to argue. He put his hands up in defeat knowing that once Mimi had her mind on something she wasn't going to let it go so easily. And he Benny really never had the stamina to stay in arguments with her and knew it was better just to let it go while he still had time.
He rubbed the back of his head as he thought about the 8 of them in a game of Hide-and-seek. He really could never picture himself doing something like that. But he was sure that he wasn't going to be the only one that had a hard time wrapping their heads around it. He sent a side glance at Mark before looking back at Mimi and Angel staying silent for the time being.

Angel grinned and squeezed Mimi's waist as she was hugged. "So I was walking down the street, and I came upon this sale, and there were these shoes lying there being sold for seventy-five cents. It was insane. And when they fit me, there was no way I could leave them there."
With Mimi complimenting her new shoes, and the prospect of playing hide-and-seek, Angel was completely revved up now. "Yeah, hopefully they'll all sort of wander here too. I mean, I'm already surprised that there are four of us here at the same time. Girl, it's like we were destined to play hide-and-seek." She looked at both Mark and Benny expectantly, and seeing that Benny had made a defeat sign, she gave a cheer. "Yes! Don't worry, you'll have fun. Hide-and-seek is one of my favorite games ever, besides Monopoly."

Benny shrugged and fiddled with the sleeve of his jacket looking over at Angel raising his eyebrows. "Yes, it was our destiny to all end up here, in Central Park, together, to play Hide-and-seek. You say destiny I say coincidence." He smiled and shook his head at the thought. "It is Central Park. The odds that they are here are pretty good actually. It's a big place."
Lifting his hand he made a face. "But Monopoly is something that I can do." He sighed in mock annoyance. "It's my favorite game as well." He added smiling faintly over at Angel, "I happen to be undefeated in Monopoly as a matter of fact." He smiled smugly as he gloated to himself crossing his arms.

"Then it can still be destiny," she said to Benny politely, though still stubborn on her point. "You just said yourself that Central Park is pretty big. And New York is pretty big. So therefore, if they all just happen to show up here too, it has to be more than just a coincidence." Angel wasn't really big on the word "coincidence". If everything had to happen, then why wouldn't it have happened for a good reason? One of her biggest influences in this belief was Collins. Out of all the streets she could have been on, and alleys he could have been in, they'd been near each other, met each other, and hadn't been apart from each other since. Angel didn't think there could be anything that was more destined than that.
Seeing Benny's smug expression, Angel raised her eyebrow and gave him an interested look. "Oh, really?" she asked. "I guess we'll just have to play each other sometime." Though now that she'd heard Benny was undefeated, she didn't really expect to win. Angel's strategy was always more or less picking out the places with nice names or pretty colors, and then becoming rather territorial of her colors. And sometimes she won, sometimes she lost. It all depended how aggressive she was feeling in the game. Somehow, it didn't surprise her at all that Benny was a big Monopoly fan. It was practically his job on a gameboard.
